A man’s body was discovered earlier today at Marple Aqueduct, a popular beauty spot in Stockport.
Officers have sealed the immediate area while they carry out inquiries and preserve the scene.
The victim has not yet been formally identified and next of kin are being traced.
Police say there are no suspicious circumstances at this stage, but enquiries remain ongoing.
