A ceremonial sword tied to the incident that left Ed Sheeran bleeding has reappeared as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor shifts his belongings from Royal Lodge to a new Norfolk home.
The blade is believed to be part of the controversial royal's private collection, and its possible transfer has reignited interest in the bizarre party moment when Sheeran was cut just inches from his right eye.
Reports say Princess Beatrice playfully raised the sword in a mock knighting of James Blunt, but the blade struck Sheeran instead.
He was rushed to hospital for several stitches and later returned to the event, while Beatrice was said to be distraught.
Sheeran has described the scene as chaotic and alcohol-fuelled, telling Rolling Stone he only realised he was hurt when he saw blood.
He needed multiple stitches after the wound, which missed his eye by a narrow margin.
The move comes as Andrew prepares to leave Royal Lodge, having spent time at Wood Farm while Marsh Farm was renovated.
Fine-art removal vans were photographed arriving at the Norfolk property, reportedly hauling paintings and personal effects.
Many pieces remained at Royal Lodge because they are owned by the Royal Collection Trust and are lent out to help furnish royal residences.
Still, Andrew's private stash is said to include eccentric items such as a large teddy bear collection, a 19th-century portrait by Charles Édouard Boutibonne, and vintage photographs by Cecil Beaton.
King Charles stripped Andrew of his princely status last year after citing serious lapses of judgment following the publication of allegations and related documents.
Andrew has denied any wrongdoing.
It is not confirmed whether the sword was among the items moved to Marsh Farm, but its association with the episode has ensured it remains a focus of public curiosity as Andrew settles into his new residence.
