With summer approaching, Dunelm has kicked off its sale of the season with discounts of up to 50% off home furnishings, garden items, and accessories. The retailer has fast become one of my favourite places to shop for new furniture, home accessories, and garden bits. As a shopping editor, I’m always scrolling through the latest releases from my favourite homeware retailers, including Marks and Spencer and Habitat (who also have several discounts on their website right now).

Dunelm, in particular, seems to jump on the latest interior trends quickly while still keeping prices within my budget. Occasionally, they even manage to provide items that look similar to higher-end home goods I’ve spotted online but for a fraction of the price (their take on the Gluggle jug retails for at most £44, which is welcome when the originals can sell for upwards of £100).

As a shopping editor (and self-proclaimed interiors fanatic), I’ve made it my duty to scroll through the pages and pages of discounted items to select just a few of my favourites (some of which have already made it into my online basket).

Florals and summer go hand in hand, so if you want to give your bedroom a seasonal refresh without having to reach for a can of paint, this neutral-toned floral-print bedding is a great choice. Though it has subtle, earthy colours, they’re versatile enough to go in almost any bedroom, and the set comes in four sizes: single, double, king, and super king.

All of the sets include two standard pillow cases, except for the single set, which comes with one.

If you do tire of the dried floral print, the set is reversible with a plain white side, too. The polycotton bedding is reduced by 50% as part of the sale.

The single set is on sale for just £7 (down from £14), and the double for £10 (down from £20). The king size is on sale for £12 (originally £24), and the super king size is on sale for £15 (originally £30).

Dunelm’s snuggle chair range has been on my mind since they were released last year because of how high-end they look. No, they aren’t the cheapest items in the range, but they have such an elevated aesthetic and are practically begging you to curl up in one with a book. 

The snuggle chairs come in a selection of colours and patterns, but as part of the summer sale, the pale blue stripe snuggle chair has been discounted by 20%. I think the nautical pinstripes and light colourway bring a breezy, coastal vibe. Plus, pale blues have already proved to be an interior design hit for 2025 – and it’s one that doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. 

The chair usually retails for £399 but right now you can get it for £319.20, which, according to Dunelm’s price history checker, is the cheapest it’s ever been.

While it is a bit of an investment, previous shoppers have left positive reviews, scoring the item a 4.8 out of a possible five stars. One shopper said: "I saw this chair in store and ordered as soon as I had checked measurements at home. It is perfect for the space. It is very comfortable and can seat one or tqo people. It looks expensive; the material is very thick and of good quality."

The mini heatwave we experienced earlier this month had me making a beeline for my outdoor space to get everything in order. So, if, like me, you’re thinking about getting your garden organised, somewhere comfy to sit and soak up the rays should be a main priority. This Sesto garden chair and footstool set immediately caught my eye because they give off boho vibes that wouldn’t look out of place poolside in a trendy hotel. 

Dunelm says the chair is made from environmentally friendly Acacia Wood and poly rope weave to ensure “durability.” The woven outdoor furniture trend has been growing in recent years, in part due to its ability to withstand changes in weather while still maintaining a contemporary, stylish aesthetic. 

Right now, the furniture set is at the cheapest price it has ever been on the Dunelm website (according to their price history checker), down from £429 to £343.20.

Last year, experts from Barker and Stonehouse named curved furniture one of the top trends of 2024, and though we're almost halfway through a new year, it seems the soft, rounded edges aren't going anywhere. Whether you’re looking for a small bench-turned-storage space for your hallway or need something to pop at the end of your bed, this is a great option. 

With a neutral colour palette and scandi-inspired light wooden features, it’ll blend well into almost any space.  Head of Affiliates, Sally Newall, weighed in on the ottoman trend. She said: "I invested in an end-of-bed ottoman this year and it has been a game-changer. I use it to store bedding and towels, and as well as being really practical, if you choose the right one, it can really add to a room. This one's a beauty; the fluted wood base and stylish neutral cushioned top make it look much more expensive than the price tag."

The ottoman usually retails for £149, but with 30% off in the summer sale, it has been reduced to £104.30. 

If there’s one thing every home needs, it’s a full-length mirror so you can gussy up and plan your outfits for the day with ease. Arched mirrors provide a classic touch of elegance and architectural flair to any space. With the soft, curved top, an arched mirror creates a sense of height and openness, making rooms feel more spacious and inviting. 

So, when I spotted Dunelm's Arched Full Length mirror on sale for less than £100, it immediately caught my attention. 

Dunelm’s arched curved mirror is available in black and grey, but the gold-framed mirror is a real standout for me. As part of the sale, you can get the mirror for £84, which is a 30% saving on its usual price tag of £120.
