M60 traffic LIVE: 'Multi-vehicle' crash causes miles of delays | UK | News Motorists are facing a traffic nightmare on the M60 after a 'multi-vehicle crash' has brought the motorway to a standstill, with queues stretching for miles. The crash was between junctions 16 at Clifton and 17 at Prestwich earlier today (March 7). Emergency services have rushed to the scene, causing tailbacks all the way to junction 12 for the M62 Eccles Interchange. Drivers have been warned of 45-minute delays. National Highways North West said: "Traffic has been STOPPED on the #M60 clockwise in #GreaterManchester between J16 (#Pendlebury) and J17 (#Prestwich) due to a multi-vehicle collision." They added: "All emergency services are on scene. There's a 45-minute delay on approach, and congestion is back to J12." The incident also caused slowdowns on the opposite carriageway as vehicles slowed down near the crash site.
