Prince William and Princess Kate have made it clear over the years that family is their priority, especially when it comes to the wellbeing of their three children Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7. Despite being the Prince and Princess of Wales, both William and Kate have managed to juggled royal duty with parenthood, and often try and shape their royal diary around their children.

For example, both William and Kate like to be able to do the school run, and they also both like to take some time away from royal duty during school half-terms and summer holidays. This is so they can spend some good quality time with their children away from the royal stage and their working lives.

While the couple often retreat from the spotlight when the children’s summer holiday begins, both William and Kate have broken this tradition this year.

This is because while the children’s school Lambrook broke up for the summer last week, William and Kate’s royal duties ahead of the summer had not yet concluded, with the couple having had a very busy week.

This included the French state visit to Windsor Castle, in which William, 43, and Kate, 43, played a major role.

Not only did the future King and Queen meet French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte, but they also took part in a carriage procession through Windsor.

They then attended a state banquet that very same day.
