Taylor Fritz and Karen Khachanov were forced to replay a point when the new technology failed. Tournament bosses later blamed the appearance of a ball boy on the court for the technology not recognising when the point had started. A statement read: “The player’s service motion began while the BBG was still crossing the net and therefore the system didn’t recognise the start of the point.
