One of this year's big releases makes its debut this week, as Death Stranding 2: On the Beach launches exclusively for PS5 and PlayStation 5 Pro. A sequel to the 2019 action-adventure game Death Stranding, On the Beach shifts the action to a new continent, as freelance courier Sam Porter Bridges once again attempts to connect humanity in a post-apocalyptic world.

Directed by Hideo Kojima of Metal Gear Solid fame, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach officially launches on June 26. However, pre-order customers who purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition can actually start playing the game 48 hours early. 

Available for £79.99 from the PlayStation Store, players who purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition can start playing Death Stranding 2 at midnight BST UK time on June 24. That's later tonight!

The Digital Deluxe Edition also contains a selection of in-game bonuses, such as the Machine Gun and various patches, as well as Gold Battle, Boost and Bokka Skeletons.

If you want to get your hands on the in-game items and play the game 48-hours early, then you may want to visit CD Keys.

At the time of writing, CD Keys customers can purchase a £80 PlayStation Store card for £74.99.

After purchasing a top-up card from CD Keys, the retailer will send you a link with the code that can rbe edeemed on the PlayStation Store.

Once you've added the credit to your PlayStation account, you can pick up the £79.99 game, having only actually spent £74.99.

Death Stranding 2 joins Ghost of Yotei as one of two major PS5 exclusives launching in 2025.

The game aims to improve on the original by offering more ways to complete missions, as well as refined combat.

Needless to say, it will also feature an expansive game world, lots of celebrity cameos, and plenty of lengthy cutscenes.
