Yes, the Fire TV Stick might be one of the most popular ways to stream content into living rooms but Amazon has just released an upgrade that could convince some to switch to something bigger and better. The online retailer has confirmed that its latest and greatest Fire TV Omni Mini-LED Series televisions are getting some smart changes that haven’t been seen before on Fire OS-powered devices.

The first free update brings a feature called Interactive Art to homes and offers an upgrade to the already popular Ambient Experience.

For those not aware, the Ambient Experience transforms the display into stunning artwork when the TV isn't being used, with owners also able to overlay widgets such as notes and reminders.

The new addition adds even more functionality as it now lets you choose from more than 10 interactive scenes, including fluttering butterflies, swimming koi fish, and colourful tiles.

Amazon says its high-fidelity radar sensor - which is included in the televisions - then makes the scenes come to life in response to your movement in front of it.

If you have a Omni Mini-LED Series TV in your living room then it's easy to give it a try.

To select your Interactive Art background, Amazon says you simply need to ask Alexa to go to the Ambient Experience and click the Interactive Art tile.

Amazon boasts that Interactive Art now joins Fire TV’s growing collection of more than 2,000 free, gallery-quality images available within the Ambient Experience.

The next change will be vital for anyone who has someone hard of hearing in their home.

Amazon says it is now introducing a function called Dual Audio, which is aimed at making its Fire TV more inclusive and accessible

Dual Audio allows customers who use hearing aids to stream programming simultaneously alongside friends and family. The high-quality audio is delivered directly to their hearing aids while other viewers listen to the TV’s built-in speakers.

To pair a compatible hearing aid, customers can navigate to Settings from the home screen and click on the Accessibility menu. Dual Audio is now available in all countries where Fire TV Omni Mini-LED Series is available with the latest software update.
