Robbie Williams has had a total of 14 number one singles, seven of them being with Take That and seven being on his own. However, there is one of his number one hits that he wishes he could change the lyrics to.

On his song Millennium, Williams admitted he "could have done better there".

The track featured on Williams' 1998 album, I've Been Expecting You and it was also the first single of his own to hit top spot in the UK singles chart.

However, in a recent interview, Williams confessed that he hates the song.

Taking to Instagram, Williams' interviewer Colin Paterson wrote: "I interviewed Robbie Williams for @bbcbreakfast about his Golden Globe nominated chimpanzee biopic Better Man, which is spending its second week in the UK Box Office Top 10. He was very funny on his dislike of his own song Millennium."

Speaking about his single, Williams said: "I just don’t like the lyric in that song. I wrote that cr**."

Referring to his lyrics, the former Take That singer added: "'We’ve got stars directing our fate’, have we? ‘And we’re praying it’s not too late‘, are they? ‘Cause we know we’re falling from grace,’ are we? ‘Millennium' is just like welded onto the end there. So er you asked me my memories and mine are, ‘I could have done better there’."

He has also recently said that he was keen to make a new album, having previously released a big band swing covers record, 'wing When You're Winning in 2001, and Swings Both Ways in 2013.

He has had very recent success with his film Better Man that is a 2024 biographical musical drama film co-written, produced and directed by Michael Gracey about the life of the English singer.

Williams is currently out on the road on a European/UK tour.
