For the first time since the 1990s, Liverpool fans will welcome the English champions to the streets of Merseyside after Arne Slot’s side were confirmed as league winners with a win over Tottenham Hotspur. It ends a decade-long wait for the Liverpool faithful, whose celebrations for their last league title were dampened by the Covid-19 pandemic.

There will be no such obstacles this time around, as thousands of buoyant Reds are expected to line the streets for this year’s title parade. Ahead of the Merseyside celebration, Express Sport have put together all of the details you need to know.

Liverpool last paraded silverware around the city in 2019 after winning their sixth Champions League. There had been plans to hold a parade last season but it was cancelled after it became clear they weren’t going to win anything other than the League Cup.

Will Jurgen Klopp be attending Liverpool’s title parade?

There’s every chance Liverpool fans might also catch a glimpse of their former gaffer, with Jurgen Klopp having teased he’ll be in attendance for the parade. Whether he’s on the bus though is a different story.

Speaking earlier this year, the ex-Reds manager said: “Yes, the plan is [to be there for the celebrations] but not on the bus. I will be there where the people are. That’s the idea, but we will see. I will be there for the last game.

"I didn’t want to go earlier to be honest because I didn’t want to jinx it! They win all the time and I’m the first time in the stadium and they lose! So, I’ll go there when it’s decided."
