M1 traffic LIVE: Motorway wreck causes huge delays with 5-mile queues | UK | NewsNotice: Undefined variable: newid in D:\vertrigo\www\voice\see.php on line 32  A crash on the M1 in Hertfordshire has led to traffic delays of up to 45 minutes and five miles of congestion, National Highways said. Two of the four lanes on the motorway northbound were closed between Junction 8 at Hemel Hempstead and Junction 9 at Redbourn. Police, the fire service, and the ambulance service are all at the scene. All lanes of the motorway are now open, but lengthy tailbacks remain.
