There were some interesting player reactions to Manchester United's stunning comeback win over Lyon on Thursday night. From slamming fans to calling out team-mates, emotions ran high as Red Devils stars took to social media after snatching victory from the jaws of defeat in the Europa League quarter-finals.

United surrendered a two-goal lead in regulation time, went two goals down against 10 men in extra-time, and then miraculously pulled it back by netting three times in the dying embers of the game. Sitting in the stands to witness Harry Maguire's headed winner, the injured Joshua Zirkzee decided to stick it to the supporters who had left Old Trafford early.

He posted a video of the stadium on Instagram with the caption: "To all the fans who left when we were down. Have a listen to this." Zirkzee also paid tribute to Kobbie Mainoo for performing his celebration after drawing United level at 4-4, and commented on a separate Instagram post: "No words left and voice is gone."

Amad Diallo's reaction was on the stranger side. The Ivorian also missed the match through injury, but he was in the dressing room for the full-time celebrations.

He posted a picture of himself with Alejandro Garnacho and Manuel Ugarte, and it's fair to assume there was no third party managing his account when he wrote: "UNITED WILL NEVER DIED, congrat manu for you're s*** goal, f*** Garna for that miss, you gaves us pain heart".

Maguire popped up with the game's defining moment when he headed home Casemiro's cross in the 121st minute. He wrote on X: "Wow. What a feeling. YOU REDS!!"

Casemiro, who came up with two vital contributions by assisting Mainoo and Maguire in extra-time, added: "Crazy night at Old Trafford with our incredible fans!!! Semi-final, here we come!!!"

One of the game's key storylines was the reinstatement of Andre Onana as United's starting goalkeeper. The Cameroon international had been left out of the matchday squad for last weekend's trip to Newcastle, as Ruben Amorim wanted him to 'disconnect' after committing two costly mistakes in the first leg against Lyon.

Onana picked the ball out of his net four times on Thursday night but he did come up with a handful of top saves. And he is clearly not short on self-confidence, as he wrote: "Built with ONANA MENTALITY."
