As President Trump revealed his peace proposals for Israel and Gaza, the US leader issued stark warnings to Hamas, declaring that Netanyahu would receive "full backing to finish the job of destroying the threat."

During a joint press conference with Netanyahu, President Trump outlined plans for an interim government to be established, emphasising that peace remains the objective for Gaza, which must include Iran-backed Hamas's complete disarmament.

Trump warned that any further attempts by the terror organisation Hamas to violate the peace would be met with "destruction." The news comes as Trump forces Netanyahu to apologise to Qatar for Israeli strike that obliterated Hamas.

The President began by stating: "As progress is made toward achieving these goals, Arab and Muslim nations need to be allowed the chance to fulfill these commitments of dealing with Hamas.

"They have to deal with them because they were the one group that we have not dealt with... If they're unable to do so, then Israel would have the absolute right and actually our full backing.... US full backing, to finish the job of destroying the threat of Hamas. But I hope that we're going to have a deal for peace," Trump continued, reports the Mirror US.

In his opening statements, President Donald Trump expressed his gratitude to the Israeli prime minister for "thank the Israeli prime minister for agreeing" to a 20-point peace blueprint published by the Trump administration.

"Today is a historic day for peace," Trump declared.

"Let's call it eternal peace in the Middle East."

Netanyahu has yet to speak publicly or confirm his acceptance of the proposed plan. Trump declared that "if Hamas rejects the deal, which is always possible, they're the only one left. Everyone else has accepted it. But I have a feeling that we're going to have a positive answer. But if not, as you know, Bibi, you'd have our full backing to do what you would have to do."

When Netanyahu stepped up to speak, he stated that, "Israel will finish the job by itself. This can be done the easy way or it can be done the hard way but it will be done.

"You've proven time and again what I've said many times. You are the greatest friend Israel has ever had in the White House," the Israeli prime minister said. "I support your plan to end the war in Gaza," Netanyahu added.

US President Donald Trump remains convinced his Gaza conflict resolution approach represents the best deal both Israel and Hamas could secure, even though he anticipates both sides "will come out somewhat unhappy," White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt informed journalists outside the White House.

The proposal, unveiled earlier today, includes measures for securing the return of hostages, bringing the conflict to a close, and outlining Hamas' capitulation.

The strategy "aims to make Gaza a peaceful, terror-free zone that does not threaten its neighbors," and to "redevelop Gaza for the benefit of its people," according to the released text of the agreement.

Should both parties consent, hostilities will cease immediately.

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has indicated his support for the proposal.

Hamas has yet to respond regarding whether it will accept the conditions. The agreement stipulates that within 72 hours of Israel's acceptance, all hostages, both living and deceased, will be returned.

Following the release of all hostages, Israel will free 250 prisoners serving life sentences and 1,700 Gazans detained after 7 October 2023, including all women and children. For each Israeli hostage's remains returned, Israel will reciprocate by returning the remains of 15 deceased Gazans.

Hamas members who commit to peaceful coexistence and disarm will be granted amnesty under Trump's new plan. Those wishing to depart Gaza will be provided safe passage to other nations.

The peace proposal mandates full humanitarian aid for Gaza, with the UN, Red Crescent, and other impartial international organisations responsible for delivery.

A temporary, non-political Palestinian committee, supplemented by international experts, will govern Gaza under the watchful eye of a new international "Board of Peace" led by Donald Trump and other world leaders. This body will supervise redevelopment until the Palestinian Authority is restructured and prepared to resume governance of Gaza.

Trump assures that the plan will not compel Palestinians to vacate Gaza, and those who do leave will have the freedom to return once the peace plan is implemented.
