Cursed Strictly Come Dancing couple Ben Cohen and Kristina Rihanoff have rekindled their romance, according to pals. The former TV couple called time on their relationship in March this year while struggling to handle their crippling £1million debt. At the time, the retired England rugby player broke up after previously revealing that he was “fighting” to save his relationship and home.

But they were seen cosying up at a fashion event on Saturday night (September 27) in exclusive pictures from The Sun. The Rugby World Cup winner, 47, and Russian dancer Kristina, 48, attended a London awards ceremony, where one of his daughters made her catwalk debut.

A source told the outlet: “They’ve decided to give things another go. They looked very much in love.” The couple’s business, including a yoga firm, was hit with spiralling debts during the Covid pandemic.

Ben told a court last September during Kristina’s unsuccessful driving conviction appeal: “I fight not to lose everything—my cars and, my house, and my relationship.” They then put their five-bedroom home in Sywell, Northants, up for sale for £1.75million, where they both lived despite separating. The home has yet to sell.

Ben split from his wife, Abby, in 2013 following his partnership with Kristina on Strictly Come Dancing. Months later, Kristina separated from ex-boxer Joe Calzaghe, her 2009 dance partner on the show.

Kristina and Ben later went into business together, with Kristina also working as a dance instructor. Speaking about their business ventures at the time, the Strictly star said the couple had “invested everything we’ve ever had” into their company Soo Yoga, after turning her passion for the exercise into a business.

But when the pandemic hit, they ran into serious trouble. Their financial difficulties soon became public knowledge during a court appearance last September, when Kristine was caught driving her £30,000 Audi without insurance.

The blonde bombshell sobbed as Ben took to the stand and confessed human error on his part meant that the dancer had been driving without insurance – meaning she was facing a driving ban.

As Ben addressed the court, he opened up about their complicated home life, admitting that they were fighting to save their 12-year relationship while juggling their mounting debts.

Paperwork revealed that their debts from their companies added up to £1million. Their Soo Yoga Group racked in debts of £48,470, and another of their fitness businesses – Yoga Wellbeing Limited – had debts of £63,000.
