Singer Lola Young reassured fans she's "doing OK" after a dramatic collapse on stage at New York's All Things Go Festival. The 24-year-old artist was caught on video swaying and then suddenly dropping her microphone, falling backwards mid-performance at Forest Hills Stadium on Saturday. Taking to Instagram after the scare, Young posted: "Hi, for anyone who saw my set at All Things Go today, I am doing ok now. Thank you for all of your support, Lola." The incident occurred as she performed Conceited from her second album, This Wasn't Meant For You Anyway.
Rapper Doechii, also known as Jaylah Hickmon, rallied the audience in support of Young after the unsettling event, leading a chant of "We love you, Lola".
Doechii expressed her concern, saying: "She's an incredibly talented artist, and she wasn't feeling well tonight, and I'm so glad you guys were there to support her and hold her up. Let's wish her the best, OK everybody?"
Young, an advocate for mental health awareness, had previously cancelled a gig at New Jersey's Prudential Centre on Friday.
Earlier this month, she dropped her third studio album, I'm Only F****** Myself, and has been in the spotlight since her 2024 hit single Messy
With three UK top 40 hits and a top 10 album under her belt, Young also bagged The Ivors rising star award this year and received nominations for best album with This Wasn't Meant For You Anyway and best song musically.
Young graced the Woodsies stage at this year's Glastonbury Festival and is also part of a collective of musicians who have urged Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer to oppose any future drilling at Rosebank in the North Sea.
