Police have issued fresh CCTV stills of a 24-year-old man who gave them the slip at a hospital.

Jon Michael Lee, 24, gave officers the slip while receiving medical attention at the NHS John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford at approximately 3.45pm on Friday August 22 2025.

He is now sought for absconding from lawful custody after being apprehended on suspicion of motoring offences and burglary on the day he fled.

The public has been warned to avoid contact with him and to report any sightings directly to the authorities. The latest image, captured by CCTV, shows him at the Up in Arms pub in Oxford later on Friday, after fleeing the hospital.

His last known location was Headley Way, Oxford.

Lee is described as a white male, roughly 5ft 11 ins in height, sporting short brown hair, brown eyes, a brief moustache, and a modest beard. He has a distinctive tattoo of two cherries on his cheek.

Officers are "following a number of lines of enquiry" in their search for him.

Anyone who might have seen him or knows of his whereabouts is encouraged to come forward, reports the Mirror.

In a renewed plea, Thames Valley Police's Detective Inspector Marcia Hardy stated: "We are continuing our investigation to trace this individual and following a number of lines of enquiry and we are releasing new CCTV images of him.

"If you see him, please call 999 immediately. We would advise members of the public not to approach.

"We would ask anyone who has previously seen him to get in touch through 101 quoting reference 43250430592.

"If you do not wish to speak to the police you can contact Crimestoppers 100% anonymously on 0800 555 111".
