Madonna may have rang in her 67th birthday with a confusing birthday cake, but her younger, 29-year-old boyfriend is the one who is getting some attention, due to a surprise impact he has had on her.

The singer is known almost as much for her ageless looks as her music, though she has at times sparked concern over some of the things she has done in an effort to still appear young.

And while her appearance in Italy for her recent big day was something of a surprise after a troubling party there two years prior, what some are actually noticing as more of a surprise are her physical looks these days.

The singer has looked youthful, but now, it’s reported that she is relying less on intense cosmetic procedures.

The credit for that choice is allegedly due to her 29-year-old boyfriend, Akeem Morris, whom she went public with in 2024.

According to the New York Post, Morris has encouraged the Material Girl to use fewer procedures than she has in the past, which led to her concerning frozen and puffy appearance at the 2023 Grammy Awards.

“She’s starting to listen to Akeem, who tells her she’s beautiful. She doesn’t normally listen to anyone but her, but she does to him,” a source told the publication. 

“She now wants to own being 67 rather than trying to look 27. And so she’s been doing things like LED lights, oxygen facials, lymphatic drainage–things that just give your face a refresh.”

“Everyone is obsessed with what she’s done to her face, ad so she’s decided to try and look a bit more natural after that whole Grammys appearance a few years ago…Her face is so iconic that it needs to look like her–she wants it to look less sculpted and she wants her face to move.”

The singer is also said to be “glowing” and a lot of that is “down to Akeem.”

The change in her appearance also comes after some other major events in her life since the 2023 Grammys fiasco.

She herself was hospitalized in an ICU and put in a 48-hour medically induced coma later that year after a dangerous bacterial infection.

Her brother, Christopher Ciccone, then died of pancreatic cancer in October 2024.
