Meghan Markle has been compared to Victoria Beckham by an expert after posting a gushing video of Prince Harry just days ago. On Friday, Meghan, 44, took to Instagram with a video of Harry surfing in California - a skill he has learnt since relocating to America in 2020.

The Duchess of Sussex captioned the post: “We interrupt your regularly scheduled programming to bring you this important message.” She then added a ginger fox emoji.

While Meghan has posted of her husband on Instagram before, brand and culture expert Nick Ede believes that this surfing video will make the duchess more relatable to fans, in the same way that her ex-friend Victoria Beckham posts videos of her husband David Beckham online that make them relatable.

Ede exclusively told Express.co.uk: “Meghan posting her video of Harry surfing was a really lovely thing to see. She has an audience of fans who have been on her journey with her and they want to see content like this from her.

“It makes her more relatable and also shows people that she loves her husband and is proud of him.

“In the same way Victoria Beckham posts pictures and videos of David, it makes them more relatable and gives fans a glimpse into their lives which everyone wants to see.

“She’s (Meghan) also got a new show out in a few days so the timing is perfect to get eyeballs on her and create noise around the new season of With Love, Meghan.”
