TV personality Vicky Pattinson became the 11th celebrity contestant to be confirmed as a contestant on the BBC’s star-studded competition, Strictly Come Dancing. The exciting news was revealed on ITV’s This Morning on Thursday (August 14) when she dramatically burst through a glittering paper unveiling her identity to viewers at home. At the time, she told presenters Emma Willis and Craig Doyle the former Geordie Shore star admitted: “I've not got high hopes for my dancing, I'm a drinker, not a dancer, drunk auntie dancing is me.”
However, with the first week of rehearsals already underway, Vicky made a rare move for new Strictly stars and left the UK for a holiday in the sunny getaway with her loved ones. Taking to her Instagram stories, the children’s author confirmed her location with a scenic photo of her view and captioned: “Exploring [Greece flag emoji]. She re-shared an Instagram post from her “best friend,” which was captioned: “Crete Sampra,” hinting that they had travelled to the Greek island of Crete.
Elsewhere in her stories, the 37-year-old also gushed over her husband, reality star Ercan Ramadan, who she married in September 2024 with a lavish ceremony in Italy.
The post saw the ex-TOWIE star posing against stunning architecture in a comfortable grey ensemble with black Hermes sandals and dark sunglasses.
Vicky took to the comments with elation and exclaimed: “I MARRIED THAT,” alongside a string of heart eyes emojis.
She then re-shared the post to her story where she declared: “This is my husband,” adding flame emojis.
While Strictly rehearsals will likely resume on Monday, Vicky opened up about the truth of the gruelling training as she displayed her injuries on social media.
The star shared photos of her red and swollen feet to her 5.5million Instagram followers where she penned: “'And so it begins.”
In a second post, Vicky admitted she feels like she has been 'hit by a car' as she has found 'dancing so hard' after starting rehearsals.
She said: "Our first @bbcstrictly rehearsal... The start of the day versus... the end. It certainly was a baptism of fire lads... that's for sure! If I was doubting my ability before.. then I REALLY am now!!! Dancing is SO HARD!"
Vicky continued: “No wonder those pros are all drop dead gorgeous. I feel like I've been hit by a car and I've already got blisters... WTF??? A serious new found appreciation for everyone who's ever taken part!
“BUT... what an amazing day, the team are incredible, the celebs are so wonderful and the pros are an absolute joy.
She concluded: “If I hang around long enough... I think I'll really love my new family. I'm off to think about my life choices and apologise to all the fellas I stepped all over today!”
