Sarah, Duchess of York has taken to her Instagram account to share a vital new message to mark World Humanitarian Day. Alongside images taken over the years during visits to countries supported by her organisation, Sarah's Trust, the Duchess wrote a heartfelt caption as she shared her wish for the future.
She began: "Today on World Humanitarian Day, I’m filled with gratitude and hope. Over the decades, I’ve travelled across continents - from delivering aid to Afghan and Ukrainian refugees, brought essential supplies to NHS workers through @sarahs_trust_ and championed education for children via Children in Crisis educating over 1.4 million children and building 57 schools."
The Duchess's latest message comes after reports that she has travelled to the Balmoral Estate in Scotland at the invitation of King Charles.
In the rest of her message on social media, the Duchess added: "As I stand alongside inspiring young activists through @glblctzn and the @youthimpactcouncil, I’m reminded of one simple truth: that small acts of kindness can spark extraordinary change.
"My wish for the future? That we all become bridges between generations, communities and dreams. So together, let’s continue to offer compassion, lift up young voices, and nurture a more hopeful, and inclusive world for all."
The Duchess launched Sarah's Trust back in 2020 and aims to connect philanthropists with charities needing funding and support, while creating a real and sustainable change in communities.
The new message comes after it was reported that Sarah and her ex-husband, Prince Andrew, have travelled up to Scotland to join the Royal Family for part of the summer break on the Balmoral Estate.
Andrew and Sarah are reportedly staying at the seven-bedroom Craigowan Lodge, one of the late Queen Elizabeth II’s favourite homes on the estate. Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie and their families are expected to join them later.
The invitation to join the King and Queen Camilla comes after his behaviour was panned in author Andrew Lownie’s new royal book Entitled, which was released last week.
