Fresh attempts to mend the rift between Prince Harry and the Royal Family have reportedly failed to deliver progress, with insiders suggesting that attempts at healing the deep rift have once again stalled. Crisis manager Carla Speight claimed to Express.co.uk that the Duke of Sussex remains engaged in a tense dispute with his family despite moving overseas with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their two children, Archie and Lilibet, five years ago.

She claimed: “Harry continues to battle with the Royal Family to see reason and meet him halfway to allow space for healing their relationship. Though it appears there’s a long way to go there, and seemingly both sides need to compromise and stop letting pride, emotions, and the Royal Household advisors get in the way.”

Despite strained family ties, Harry and Meghan’s life in California has been defined by high-profile ventures and financial independence. Their Netflix deal, initially reported to be worth $100 million, has played a significant role in securing their future and has positioned the duchess as the key figure behind the couple's stability. “If the amount is true, it marks the success of their new life together outside of the Royal Family.”

Speight explained. “Love them or hate them, they couldn’t realistically get ‘normal jobs’ such as the Duchess working at the checkouts in Walmart and Prince Harry becoming a gardener. Ultimately, they need to earn enough to cover their essentials and keep their children safe. There’s no doubt that the Netflix deal will have contributed greatly to supporting their futures.”

The Duchess of Sussex has also launched separate ventures, with her lifestyle brand As Ever enjoying sell-out success. “She has successfully launched her brand, in partnership with Netflix, which has gained an impressive following, and every product line has sold out within minutes.”

Speight added: “It’s clear that the Duchess’ focus is to ensure her husband and children are cared for in their new life, which Prince Harry is learning to adapt to.” But Harry’s adjustment has not been without mistakes. For years, his public life was carefully managed by Palace aides.

“Previously, Harry didn’t have the freedom to speak and act as he pleased without approval from the Royal Household team,” Speight explained. “Every engagement was planned carefully, press interviews were screened, and answers were prepared in advance by the Palace’s press team.”

Speight continued. “That’s a terrible approach when the person at the centre of it is hurting and feelings are raw. When this advice is given to someone in Harry’s position, it will almost always lead to the fallout the couple have experienced.”
