Outlander's Sam Heughan has issued a stern warning to fans about online scammers, following an similar message earlier this year and an incident in 2024 when a woman lost £10,000 after being duped by a fraudster pretending to be him, reports the Daily Record.
The 45 year old actor, known for his roles in the Starz series and The Couple Next Door, took to Instagram Stories to share his message.
He cautioned: "Please be careful on social media! Myself (Or manager/agent/family etc) will NEVER reach out Asking for money or contact."
The star, who plays Jamie Fraser, added: "If it's not verified, it's not me. Be careful of scammers!".
Earlier in February, Heughan had urged his followers to exercise caution online against individuals impersonating him.
He also raised concerns back in 2024 about scammers, indicating that they continue to pose a threat to his fans.
His warning comes shortly after he graced the red carpet at the Outlander: Blood of My Blood LA premiere alongside the rest of the cast and crew.
Fans can look forward to seeing the actor this autumn as he takes to the stage in the Royal Shakespeare Company's latest production of Macbeth, starring opposite The Crown's Lia Williams as Lady Macbeth.
In addition, Heughan lends his voice to the documentary Clinging By A Claw, which highlights the plight of endangered Scottish wildcats and the efforts of conservationists to boost their numbers.
Outlander enthusiasts eagerly awaiting the eighth and final season will need to exercise patience after Starz revealed at San Diego Comic-Con that the concluding series won't arrive until early 2026.
In the meantime, devotees of the Outlander universe can immerse themselves in Blood of My Blood, which has recently begun airing and chronicles the stories of Jamie and Claire Fraser's (portrayed by Caitríona Balfe) ancestors.
The prequel series draws inspiration from Diana Gabaldon's Outlander novels before venturing into uncharted territory with fresh storylines.
The programme explores an alternative timeline where Claire's parents Henry Beauchamp (Jeremy Irvine) and Julia Moriston (Hermione Corfield) survived their fatal car crash and instead journeyed through time.
Furthermore, the pair encounter Jamie's parents Ellen MacKenzie (Harriet Slater) and Brian Fraser (Jamie Roy), becoming central to the forbidden romance that develops between the rival clans.
Heughan has demonstrated his enthusiasm for the prequel by sharing a Blood of My Blood trailer on his Instagram profile.
He wrote alongside the clip: "So proud of our @outlander_starz family!".
"What a journey it has been and delighted to welcome the extremely talented @bloodofmybloodstarz cast to our world.
"The first two cracking episodes of "Blood of my Blood" are airing now on @starz Can't wait to see more! X."
