Clarkson's Farm star Lisa Hogan shared a huge update with the harvest after Jeremy Clarkson said it would be a "catastrophic" year for Diddly Squat. Taking to Instagram, Lisa shared a video of herself in the farm fields as she inspected the planted potatoes to see how they were getting on.

Holding up a root full of spuds, she said to the camera: "It's been a dodgy year for everything, but these are my spuds. They are doing wonderfully, once again, Diddly Squat farm potatoes, the crop are going to save the day. I think I'll get a good price for them.

"They're a bit small, I think they need another three weeks to a month in the ground. But yeah, think it's going to be good." She captioned the video: "Could Diddly Squat Farm spuds save the dire harvest?"

The good news about the farm left Lisa's post flooded with comments, as Clarkson's Farm rushed to support Lisa.

One said: "Great news! Always wonderful when a good crop comes in!"

Another suggested: "Try courgettes if you don't already. That's the only thing that grows in abundance down our allotment. Sick of them."

A third chimed in: "They are much bigger than our potato harvest..... OK 4 garden bags. I hope the potato harvest is good for you, love the spuds your showing."

A fourth said: "Amazed the spuds have been able to find a drop of water…there’s none in our garden and hasn’t been for ages. Seems the only “harvest” that’s looking lovely is the Labrador puppy one!! But they are for petting not plating."

It comes after Jeremy said the stint of heatwaves this year had proved to be bad news for the farm, as he posted on X: "It looks like this year's harvest will be catastrophic. That should be a worry for anyone who eats food. If a disaster on this scale had befallen any other industry, there would be a lot of wailing and gnashing of teeth."
