Strictly Come Dancing bosses have been revealing the famous faces of those who have taken part in this year's series of the well-loved ballroom dancing show for the past few days. A total of 13 contestants have officially been announced, with legendary Lioness Karen Carney being the latest of the class of 2025 to be unveiled this morning.
The full list of stars who will be vying for the prestigious Glitterball Trophy, which will be handed out to the winners around Christmas, includes:
Notable names in the mix include BBC star La Voix, who will be making history as the first-ever drag queen to appear on Strictly.
She told the BBC: "I've performed for royalty, RuPaul and Simon Cowell, but nothing fills me with more excitement (and quite a bit of terror) than the thought of dancing in front of millions on live Saturday night TV. Strictly is a national institution, and I can't wait to get started. All that's left to say is: good luck to my partner! Here's hoping they can help me go from La Voix into La Danse."
Reality TV stars Vicky Pattison and Dani Dyer, who have starred on Geordie Shore and Love Island, are other notable mentions, as is The Apprentice star Thomas Skinner.
The BBC businessman said of his appointment: "I’m beyond excited to be joining Strictly Come Dancing. I’ve tackled the boardroom and some big breakfasts in my time, but stepping onto the dance floor under that glitter ball is next-level stuff."
Strictly Come Dancing is returning to BBC One next month and will be hosted by Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly.
The judges will be Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton du Beke.
