Meghan Markle's second wine offering for lifestyle is still available to purchase more than a week after its release and now a source close to her explains why. The Duchess of Sussex launched As Ever back in April and since then, she has had four product launches, three of which sold out within minutes.
Prince Harry's wife was criticised by various royal watchers for either having inadequate stock or using low stock as a marketing strategy to boast about her brand's success. But it appears that the Duchess and her team managed to address the issue with the latest launch, morethan a week later, her Napa Valley Rosé 2024 is still available to purchase.
According to a source close to her, the team did everything they could to avoid disappointing potential customers this time around.
They told Newsweek: "[The wine launch is] going VERY well. Biggest stock of product yet, obviously trying to do everything we can to ensure as many people as possible can experience the product so, glad it hasn't sold out, yet!"
A branding expert also agreed that Meghan's wine still being in stock is a "good thing" for the brand's future.
He explained: "Hopefully they've realised that actually they've got to have more inventory and that might be why it hasn't sold out or maybe they've actually got their stock right.
"And that 'sell out' sensational marketing actually needs to now evolve and they need to get into a retail outlet where you can buy the product because otherwise you're going to disappoint your customers."
As Ever previously said on an Instagram story: "We made so much more this round, and yet it's still going fast!"
As with the previous wine, launched in July, the beverage is priced at more than £67 for a minimum three-bottle order - and only appeared to be available for US customers to buy, with shipping addresses limited to America.
Three bottles cost 90 US dollars (around £67), six bottles cost 159 dollars (around £119) including a 12% discount, and 12 bottles are priced at 300 dollars (around £225) including a 17% discount.
The website describes the drink as "thoughtfully curated by Meghan, Duchess of Sussex" and that it has been "made to be enjoyed with the ones you love".
