A thoroughly unmagical fry-up dished up at Harry Potter World has sparked considerable outrage amongst Britain's breakfast enthusiasts.

For Britons, nothing is more guaranteed to infuriate the typical individual than an American's attempt at assembling a Full English/Scottish/Welsh/Irish, reports the Mirror.

Combine that with theme park pricing, and you've created a formula for absolute rage. This is precisely what emerged from a visit to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando, where an inquisitive American chose to order a fry-up. According to the Orlando Informer blog, such a breakfast costs $19.99 (£14.81). Images of the pitiful breakfast surfaced alongside warnings that the future of the fry-up faces mounting peril.

"American friend went to Harry Potter World in the US and got this abomination," a Reddit user wrote alongside a photo of a distinctly anemic-looking dish. A small, black plate is home to a pool of unappetising beans, which are encroaching on the other breakfast items from all sides.

These include mushrooms that appear to be sweating and, on the opposite side of the plate, scrambled eggs with a greyish hue. Crowning this mound of disappointment is not only a dry croissant but also a packet of butter. Pieces of bacon and black pudding seem to be scattered nearby.

Predictably, the comments that the post garnered were far from sympathetic.

"This has managed to insult both English and French breakfast culture simultaneously. What's worse is how this was likely overpriced and tasted quite bland," one outraged person commented.

"Genuinely, I've never seen good British food outside of the UK and Ireland," added another incensed foodie. "Whether it's a fry up, a roast dinner, a pie, or pasty, or even fish and chips, it's always bastardised and messed up and not very good. Whenever you see fish and chips, it's also some poor imitation with a few fish goujons and thin-cut chips. No wonder people think we have bad food!".

Many took issue with the packet of butter, which seems to have been carelessly tossed onto the middle of the plate, landing on whichever greasy breakfast item it chose.

"I'd be mildly frustrated trying to open the greasy/bean juice-covered butter packet," one person pointed out. Another queried: "Why is the butter just wazzed in the middle of the plate?".

However it's the croissant that has been one of the major bones of contention, with many puzzled about why this traditionally French food would be thrown on top of what is an English dish. "Personally, it looks great to me. You have a free croissant to pick up and throw at your server and then a full English to take with you when they kick you out," one commenter quipped.
