Meghan Markle was mocked by fans for overdressing in the kitchen in the latest trailer for the new season of her Netflix series. Netflix released the newest teaser for With Love, Meghan, which is set to be released on August 26.

In it, Meghan sports various outfits while battling the kitchen, showing a new group of guests hosting and cooking tips and tricks, while also learning from them. In one clip, the Duchess of Sussex is seen making a salad with American chef Samin Nosrat.

Meghan is dressed in a stunning belted floral print midi dress in white and green by Carolina Herrera (£2,300).

While the garment itself is elegant, some fans thought it was inappropriate to wear in a cooking show.

One user said on Instagram: "Beautiful dress, but not for cooking." Another commented: "Even Martha Stewart wore pants when she cooked." A third said bluntly: "Uggg."

But others seemed to be impressed with the Duchess's frock and praised her online. One user wrote: "Very pretty dress for Meghan."

A second fan chimed: "I LOVE this dress." A third said: "She looks STUNNING in this spring-y dress!" A final one agreed: "Her style is timeless, dress sold out."

Among the celebrity guests joining the former Suits star during the eight episodes will be US model and TV personality Chrissy Teigen and Queer Eye star Tan France, as well as podcaster Jay Shetty and his cookbook author wife Radhi Devlukia.

Other chefs joining Ms Nosrat are Clare Smyth, Christina Tosi, Jose Andres and David Chang, and Meghan's close friends, pilates instructor Heather Dorak and make up artist Daniel Martin.

The trailer, to the soundtrack of Bobby Day's upbeat Rockin' Robin, showed Meghan cooking, baking and crafting with her celebrity friends and saying: "I love the idea of just spending time together and finding new ways to show people you care."
