A serious crash has closed a stretch of the M5 in Devon this morning (Sunday, August 10).
It happened on the southbound carriageway at around 9:30am. An air ambulance has landed at the scene.
Traffic is currently being held between junction 28 (Cullompton) and junction 29 (Exeter Airport).
National Highways said: “The M5 southbound in Devon is closed between J28 (Cullompton) and J29 (Exeter Airport) due to a serious collision which occurred shortly after 09:30 this morning.
"Devon & Cornwall Police and emergency services are on scene being assisted by National Highways Traffic Officers.”
