Channel 5 star Reuben Owen, who is the eldest son of Amanda Owen, has issued a touching relationship update about his girlfriend Jessica Ellwood on Instagram. The Life in the Dales star shared a series of videos and pictures of Jessica using some seriously heavy farm machinery to help pave the way for new farm buildings as part of a massive project.

In one snap, she's in the driver's seat of a huge truck, smiling as Reuben takes the image. In another video, she's seen using a digger to deposit dirt around the Yorkshire-based farm, and she doesn't seem phased by the machinery.

Reuben captioned the post: "She really is incredible on any machinery @jessica.ellwood1 on the 220 helping dig out for new farm buildings on one of our projects."

He signed off the sweet post by writing "#lovehersomuch #cuteonadigger".

Fans of the show have been following the couple's whirlwind romance for almost a year.

"We just work together really well, and it doesn't matter what we're on, whether it's driving the digger, or with the sheep, we just get on with it," Reuben told OK!

Jessica had a similar upbringing to Reuben. She was raised on Brough Castle Farm in Cumbria and assisted her parents on their dairy farm from a young age.

"She's got an incredible knowledge of farming and machinery," Reuben added.

Reuben wants to become a farm owner, with room for his machinery and his partner's livestock.

He explained: "We're just waiting for something to come up. I've got to try and get a nice place, get a bit of a farm somewhere one day. It would be ideal to have a farm where I can park my diggers and she can have her sheep and cows."
