Police have warned of "serious disorder" in Salford, with witnesses claiming to have seen groups of youths blocking a road. Authorities said one person had been arrested and a police car was damaged in the city's Lower Broughton Road area on Wednesday afternoon.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "Officers are currently dealing with serious disorder on Lower Broughton Road and there is a dispersal order in place. Behaviour of this nature will not be tolerated and we will respond accordingly." Footage from the scene shows a car driving through gardens and roads blocked off by wheelie bins.
