Wetherspoons is set to open five new venues, and the exact date for their high street debuts has been confirmed.

The Sir Frank Whittle will open on July 14, at the peak of the holiday season.

Another new venue is being opened at the University of Birmingham. Students at Edgbaston Park Road will have a new spot for cheap drinks from May 26.

On July 7, Guildford will see a new Wetherspoons open at Wates House, Surrey University.

It will be owned by the University but franchised by Spoons.

Wetherspoons is going international as it is confirmed that Barcelona Airport is getting not one, but two, new Wetherspoons.

The first one will be at Terminal 1, and will open September 2026. Another will open at Terminal 2 by January 2027.
