Emotional Davina McCall has been given the all-clear from breast cancer and informed fans "it's good news". The beloved TV presenter underwent a lumpectomy back in October after finding a lump while working on ITV programme The Masked Singer.

But now Davina, who has also fought a benign brain tumour in recent years, shared the update following her surgery and treatment earlier this year. Speaking on her podcast Making The Cut with her husband Michael Douglas, she said: "I went to go and have a checkup on my boobs the other day, obviously quite a serious day, quite heavy." She continued: "It was all clear, just letting everyone know. Good news, good news." The 58-year-old discovered the lump after examinations recommended by friend and fellow TV presenter Lorraine Kelly. Davina underwent surgery late last year and has since received intensive radiotherapy. The star shocked her fans back in November when she revealed: "I just wanted to tell you that I have had breast cancer. I found a lump a few weeks ago, and it came and went." She added: "So I had a biopsy," reports the Mirror.

"I found out it was indeed breast cancer, and I had it taken out in a lumpectomy nearly three weeks ago... It was very, very small, so I got it very, very early, which is incredibly lucky, but I am so relieved to have had it removed, and to know that it hasn't spread."

Davina also disclosed at the time that she had "dense breasts", which is a risk factor in developing breast cancer and makes it harder to detect. Reflecting on the moment she received the devastating news, she said: "It felt like being punched in the face by the universe. I just thought, what? I was just beginning to feel myself again."

She also stressed that her experience serves as a vital reminder for women to check themselves regularly.

"I found a lump myself and I had had a mammogram in the August. It was in October that I found a lump, so don't just think, 'I had a mammogram recently, it can't be that' - it could be. If you've got something, go and get it looked at. It takes seconds."

Also speaking on the podcast, Davina recounted an amusing moment at the hospital, saying: "I went to go and pay my bill and I tapped my wand and literally people were beside themselves. I thought, this heavy day has become very joyful and funny. And I've not only put a smile on other people's faces, but I've put a smile on mine.'

"It is quite a big wand, like your fairy godmother would come along and bestow your greatest wishes upon you with this wand. In this star on the top of the wand, when you unscrew it, there is a debit or credit card size slot that you can slot your card into, then you reattach the handle... I've tried it everywhere now."
