Brooklyn Beckham has appeared to take another opportunity to swipe at his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, as he marked his anniversary with Nicola Peltz-Beckham. The pair celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary on Friday (April 10), however, he couldn't help but use the day to make it clear that he's not in touch with his parents. Brooklyn shared a sweet card which was addressed to his wife as he said they had "been through so much together" and remain "stronger than ever".

It was the first subtle swipe he shared in their anniversary, considering he had previously claimed that his parents had tried to split them up on numerous occasions prior to actually tying the knot. As he shared the post, he also wrote: "Happy anniversary @nicolaannepeltzbeckham x I love you with all my heart. Can't wait to stay young with you xx love you so so much x." (sic)

He then shared the anniversay card as he declared his wife was his "best friend" and expressed his desire to "grow old together". It was also followed by a post of a white rose bouquet delivered by Nicola's parents, Nelson Peltz and his wife Claudia. It didn't seem any of his own family reached out to celebrate the occasion.

Nicola's parents had wished them a happy anniversary and told them both that they couldn't wait to see them soon. The estranged relationship between Brooklyn and his parents comes after he shared a six-page Instagram post and accused his parents of "controlling him" for most of his life. He also claimed his mum had "hijacked" his first dance at the wedding" and claimed that she "danced very inappropriately".

He also said in the statement: "My parents have been trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn't stopped. My mum cancelled making Nicola's dress in the eleventh hour despite how excited she was to wear her design, forcing her to urgently find a new dress.

"Weeks before our big day, my parents repeatedly pressured and attempted to bribe me into signing away the rights to my name, which would have affected me, my wife, and our future children."

He ended the statement by saying: "I wake up every morning grateful for the life I chose, and have found peace and relief. My wife and I do not want a life shaped by image, press, or manipulation. All we want peace, privacy and happiness for us and our future family."
