Israel has launched fresh strikes on Lebanon despite Donald Trump's ceasefire agreement with Iran on Tuesday.

Describing the situation in Beirut, one of the social media users wrote on X: "Apocalyptic scenes in Lebanon’s capital right now. Israel has launched 100 airstrikes on Lebanon in 10 minutes. Striking South Lebanon, Beirut and the Bekaa Valley simultaneously. This isn’t a ceasefire. It’s mass bombardment of civilian areas."

The UNHCR, Lebanon wrote on X: "One of the largest waves of Israeli strikes so far has just hit over 60 locations across Beirut and beyond. Deaths are mounting. Destruction is massive. Civilians are paying the price. Again. They are not a target. They must be protected.

"Around 100 Israeli strikes without prior warning hit Lebanon in under 10 minutes. Civilians are bearing the brunt including in Beirut neighbourhoods sheltering those already displaced. It cannot be said enough: civilians are not a target. They must be protected."
