The bomb squad has rushed to warehouses in Northampton, with workers evacuated from DHL premises and multiple emergency services at the scene. Employees have been evacuated mid-shift from both the DHL Supply Chain and DHL Express warehouses in Gowerton Road, workers at the scene have said.
Pictures show a significant police presence at the Brackmills site by the Chron, along with a single Northants Fire and Rescue crew. One eyewitness said the warehouse was sealed off by police just before 10am. The Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team were seen arriving on scene shortly after. One DHL worker told the Northampton Chronicle: "We got evacuated and it is forbidden to go back.Waiting on the bomb squad."
