
A horrified council employee came across a human skull suspended from a tree in woodland in London.
The find was made in north London by an Enfield council employee on Tuesday, 7 April, at approximately midday.
Emergency services raced to Brooke Woods following the discovery of the remains.
Officers have subsequently retrieved 80 per cent of the remaining bones, which were discovered beneath the skull alongside ID.
Police have stated that it is estimated the body had been present since September 2022.
A Met spokesperson said: "Around 12:00hrs on Tuesday, 7 April, officers were called to Brooke Wood, Enfield, following the discovery of suspected human remains.
"Officers attended. Enquiries continue to establish the circumstances but the matter is not believed to be suspicious at this stage."
