Her husband, hairdresser Michael Douglas, was by her side when she was diagnosed, and his reaction left her surprised. He offered her out an outlet for her emotions, as she said: "He was like, 'okay, so look, I'm just letting you know if you if you want to kind of get angry with me or just like, tell me you're angry. Like, you know, I'm here'".
Davina insisted that she was fine, as she wanted to keep up a brave face, adding: "I was like, 'I'm not angry. It's fine. It's meant to be. I've obviously got to learn something', [I was] trying to be positive, right?
"And he said, 'But if you were angry, it's okay. You can, you can be angry'."
She admitted she didn't want to share her true feelings, but eventually he convinced her to let it all out, and she ended up feeling "very angry".
Davina added: "Then I got really angry, and I got the cushions out and the pillow [punching them] and that was quite therapeutic."
Speaking to Jamie Theakston on his Heart Breakfast programme, Davina remarked: "It was just quite a difficult year and in October interestingly two years almost to the month where I found out I had a brain tumour, I got breast cancer, and it felt like being punched in the face by the universe.
But Davina has been determined to beat it, and she revealed in January that she had completed her cancer treatment.
She said: "I finished my radio therapy today, and it was very emotional, much more emotional than I thought it would be. And I need a bit of positivity and brilliance," she said on Instagram.
