Meghan Markle has spoken out after her former Suits co-star, Patrick J Adams, shared a complaint. The pair worked together for seven years, with Patrick playing Mike Ross and Meghan playing his love interest Rachel Zane, until they left the show in 2018 when Meghan married Prince Harry. Meghan's Suits co-stars Patrick, Gabriel Macht, Sarah Rafferty, Rick Hoffman, Gina Torres and Abigail Spencer attended the wedding in Windsor.
Adams appeared on the podcast Not Skinny But Not Fat as host Amanda Hirsch revealed to him that Meghan had sent her some of her As Ever jam.Hirsch asked Adams if Meghan, 44, had ever given him a handwriting note, to which he replied that she "must have done", as the host then said she got a letter from the Duchess along with a sample of jam. Adams, who responded by saying Meghan had "impeccable" handwriting, then asked: "You got a jam? I didn't get a jam," as he then asked her how it was.
He said: "How was the jam? Be real… We should taste the jam. We should crack it open," as she admitted she hadn't tried it and added that she "should have brought it" to their interview."
Meghan has now responded in a rare Instagram comment, penning: "Jams en route for you @patrickjadams & @sleepinthegardn," tagging him and his wife, Troian Bellisario.
She added: "Hugs to those beautiful babies. Send my love to your mom," referencing the couple's three daughters, Aurora, 7, Elliot, 4, and Imogen, 2 months, as well as Adams' mother.
Meghan's jam is part of her As Ever brand, which includes products such as honey, edible flowers, and tea.
Patrick also spoke about his Instagram bio, which reads: "The other guy from that show that you're watching on that app because that girl married that prince."
When Hirsch asked about the bio, he replied: "I've got to change that. It's the sort of thing that wherever Meghan is, if she's ever read that, she's going, 'Patrick, give me a break'. I got a lot of eye rolls – that was a constant with Meghan."
