Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor allegedly held strong views about Queen Camilla, according to a royal writer. In her 2022 book Camilla: From Outcast to Queen Consort, Angela Levin claims the relationship between Andrew and King Charles III's wife has long been strained.
She writes that Andrew viewed Camilla as "insufficiently aristocratic and that she was not to be trusted", adding he was "quite poisonous, mean, unhelpful and very nasty about Camilla".
She added: "He remained so hostile about Camilla's acceptance that it's doubtful it has ever been forgiven."
Charles and Camilla married in 2005 after decades of knowing one another, though public acceptance of their relationship took time - especially following allegations they had been involved while Charles was still married to Princess Diana.

A source also told Levin: "His behaviour became very, very negative and extremely unpleasant on not getting his way."
Reflecting on the scrutiny, Camilla told British Vogue in 2023: "It's not easy. I was scrutinised for such a long time that you just have to find a way to live with it.
"Nobody likes to be looked at all the time and, you know, criticised. But I think in the end, I sort of rise above it and get on with it. You've got to get on with life."
On her marriage, she added: "It's not easy sometimes, but we do always try to have a point in the day when we meet… You know, when we go away, the nicest thing is that we actually sit and read our books in different corners of the same room."

Diana had been a loved figure, affectionally known as the People's Princess, before her untimely death in 1997. Indeed, Camilla would have known only too well the mountain she had to climb to win over the affections of the British public.
But Andrew has no better reputation. The former Prince and Peter Mandelson, the UK's former ambassador to Washington, were arrested within days of each other for their ties to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, and both are under investigation for the same offence: misconduct in public office.
Seemingly, Camilla has neither forgotten nor forgiven Andrew - and her revenge comes in quietly, but steadily building the respect of his own family.
Royal PR guru Luana Ribeira told the Mirror: "Anybody Charles married would have been compared to Diana, and this made it difficult for the public to accept her immediately. The only endorsement that mattered was the Queen's backing and time.
"His snub didn't make any difference then, but it's likely to actually be helping her now. People are not going to side with Andrew right now, and she is seen as somebody who really had to fight for her place, which people respect."
