Former I'm A Celeb star Lord Charles Brocket has pleaded not guilty after being charged with two counts of rape, two counts of sexual assault and one count of sexual activity without consent. The 73-year-old is accused of targeting a woman in London and East Sussex between May 5th and August 10th of 2025. The charges all relate to the same alleged victim, who cannot be named for legal reasons.
A provisional trial date has been set for November 1 2027. The rape charges relate to an alleged incident said to have taken place in South West London in August, while the sexual assault by penetration charge relates to a separate alleged incident in May, in Warbleton, East Sussex. Brocket was conditionally bailed in September 2025.
Last year, ahead of Brocket entering his official plea, Judge Martin Edmunds KC said the trial is estimated to last seven days, adding: "I apologise to all concerned in this case that it is so far in to the future but the combination of an increasing backlog of cases coming to court and those in custody matters must take priority."
He entered a not guilty plea today (April 1), at Isleworth Crown Court.
The peer finished fourth on the 2004 series of ITV reality show I'm A Celeb, appearing alongside Jennie Bond, John Lydon and Neil 'Razor' Ruddock.
After launching a career in TV, he went on to host ITV game show Scream! If You Want To Get Off and a spin-off show to Bad Lads Army, Privates Exposed.
Brocket became the 3rd Baron Brocket aged just 15 after the death of his grandfather, the 2nd Baron Brocket, and inherited Brocket Hall in Hertfordshire.
His daughter Antalya also has ties to the Royal Family, marrying Queen Victoria’s great-great-great-great-grandson Prince Frederick Alexander of Prussia in 2020, but their relationship ended in March 2026.
