Scott Mills owns a stunning suburban home worth £1.5million – and it’s funded by his impressive BBC salary of more than £355,000 per year. Though sacked star will no longer be able to cash in his paycheques after being axed by the publicly-funded corporation, they have meant he was able to purchase an impressive house in Hertfordshire with his husband Sam Vaughn.

Scott was allegedly investigated by the Met Police in 2016 relating to serious sex offences against a teenage boy, which are alleged to have taken place between 1997 and 2000, while he was employed at Radio 1. The case was dropped due to insufficient evidence.

With a published BBC salary of between £355,000 and £359,000 from his work on Radio 2, Scott purchased his five-bedroom home in 2022 for £1,425,000. The house features five bathrooms, a combined kitchen and dining room, and a lush lounge area.

Scott also boasts some pretty expensive cars, with both a Tesla and a Range Rover Evoque spotted in the driveway of the home. The Tesla Model 3 is estimated to cost at least £35,000, while the Range Rover can set you back up to £58,000.

He described his home as a “new-build house in a quiet little cul-de-sac”, located in Rickmansworth.

Scott said the house is “very modern and pared-back”, with a “Scandinavian minimalist vibe”. He also boasted about his collection of Diptyque candles, which can cost up to £299 each. A refill for the fragrance diffuser in Scott’s preferred scent costs £509.

He’s also not the only famous face in his local area, as he lives close to Martin and Shirlie Kemp – whose home boasts a tennis court.

Scott and Sam said they enjoy taking their dog Teddy out for walks in the surrounding countryside, and regularly share snaps of the pooch on social media.

The fired presenter grew up in Hampshire, and later lived a bachelor lifestyle in London. His home in Kentish Town featured on a 2019 episode of ITV’s Through the Keyhole.

That home featured walk-in wardrobes, a huge stereo system and free-standing bathtubs with twin sinks. The garden, split into two levels, featured a barbecue, a hammock and couches for enjoying time outdoors.
