A car has ploughed into crowds on a busy British street, with witnesses reporting scenes of horror with bodies strewn across both the street and football following the horror incident.
At about 9.30pm Saturday (March 28), Derbyshire Police confirmed that a black Suzuki Swift careered into crowds of people in the busy Friar Gate precinct of central Derby.
Multiple people were injured, police say, with many rushed to hospital in a serious condition. Paramedics also treated numerous victims at the scene, the force added, as it appeals for witnesses to the carnage to come forward to help with the investigation.
Police confirmed they have arrested a man they believe is connected with the vehicular attack.
