M&S opened its brand-new 18,600-square-foot food store at Farnham Retail Park in Farnham, Surrey, on Wednesday morning, attracting queues of eager customers keen to get their first look inside. The store offers the full range of M&S Food, from everyday essentials to household must-haves. The market-style foodhall at the park's Unit A has an in-store bakery and coffee counter serving barista-made drinks, pastries, and M&S’ popular Collection Sourdough with each loaf taking over 30 hours to make.
Other highlights include Hot Chicken and Mai Sushi counters, a cheese barge, and M&S’ Remarkable Value range featuring over 100 price-checked everyday essentials. Families will also benefit from the Bigger Pack Better Value range.
This week, M&S launched its transformed cereals range, including new granolas, mueslis, and porridge pots using whole foods from Matcha and Raspberry Overnight Oats to Triple Nut Muesli that are now available at Farnham. The store also has the new Milk Chocolate Malt Balls from the Pick ‘N’ Marks range.
Shoppers can also enjoy dedicated Flower and Wine shops, showcasing Flower Market Specials and award-winning wines, alongside a Click & Collect point for online orders.
The store is one of 12 Homebase stores M&S is developing across the UK, and one of three brand-new, larger-format foodhalls opened in the past fortnight. The new store has created over 60 local jobs.
The store is open from 8 am to 9 pm Monday to Saturday, and from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm on Sundays.
Store Manager Joe Bentley was joined by new recruit Lucy Rogers, Percy Pig and Farnham’s Town Crier Michael Stephens to cut the ribbon and officially open the store on Wednesday morning.
