Strictly Come Dancing star Nikita Kuzmin has issued a romantic update about his three-year relationship with girlfriend, Lauren Jaine. The pair, who have reportedly been dating since October 2023, live together in London and have even expanded their family of pets to include their adorable puppy, Mabel, and several cats. While the couple keep the details of the romance private, the BBC star revealed there could be wedding bells in the near future.

This comes after Nikita was forced to deny engagement rumours earlier this month, when reports suggested the couple were planning their wedding after Lauren was spotted with a dazzling ring. In the heartwarming photo, the duo were all smiles as they embraced one another and on the 23-year-old's left hand was a glittering sparkler. Despite this, Nikita has now revealed that he could be proposing within two years.

In a recent interview, the choreographer admitted: "In a couple of years, I’d love to marry Lauren. It’s just a gorgeous moment. I’m a very romantic person, and feel really lucky to have found her.

"Lauren would love a huge wedding, but I’d want a private one. We’ll definitely have to come to an agreement, because I don’t have the money for 1,000 people."

Speaking to Heat World, Nikita shared hopes of becoming a father and added: "Hopefully, one day, we’ll be lucky enough to have more than one kid. I think that’s the reason we’re put on Earth, to grow them into whoever they want to be."

This follows a previous admission that he was head over heels in love, as he praised the model's supportive nature.

In October 2025, he shared: "I'm really lucky to have a supportive family and girlfriend. I always call my mum on my way home, and when I get back, I have Lauren waiting for me. We make time for each other."

Thankfully for fans, Nikita could return to the glitzy Strictly dancefloor later this year, following the brutal axing of professional dancers.

While his appearance has yet to be confirmed, BBC bosses revealed that the likes of Nadiya Bychkova, Gorka Márquez, Luba Mushtuk, Michelle Tsiakkas, and Karen Hauer would be leaving the show as part of a 2026 shake-up.
