The TV star also warned savers that they could face tax bills from HMRC with as little as £11,000 in their savings account this year. That's because of the way the Personal Savings Allowance works and how it relates to your income.

After filming the jam-packed show, the dad-of-one took to X - formerly known as Twitter - where he reflected on the show as a whole. He penned: "Hi folks. Just leaving the studio, not my smoothest @itvMLshow as so much to fit in, yet I hope there was something helpful or interesting in it for you.

One user chuckled: "One of my favourite bits was when you said you'd have an hour's slot next Thursday, so wouldn't need to talk so fast. You always talk that fast [cry-laughing emoji]."

The TV star replied: "Only towards the end of the show when I realised I'm running over (Well, that's when I go very fast anyway)." It comes after Martin took a break from money advice to share an urgent warning over the symptoms of meningitis.

The spread of invasive meningococcal disease has led the UK Health and Security Agency to promise to issue daily updates on cases, with as many as 20 now reported in the UK, with two deaths.

The UKHSA called the crisis a 'rapidly evolving situation' and warned there may still be more cases to come. The Money Saving Expert shared a list of early symptoms of meningitis to help people spot the illness early and get treatment. Antibiotics remain the most effective treatment for meningococcal disease.

He posted on X: "I was just reading about the cases of invasive meningococcal disease in Kent. I noticed this early symptoms list and thought it may be worth sharing. The onset of illness is often sudden, and early diagnosis and treatment with antibiotics are vital.

"Early symptoms, which may not always be present, include: 1) A rash that does not fade when pressed with a glass 2) sudden onset of high fever 3) severe and worsening headache 4) stiff neck 5) vomiting and diarrhoea 6) joint and muscle pain 7) dislike of bright lights 8) very cold hands and feet 9) seizures 10) confusion/delirium 11) extreme sleepiness/ difficulty waking.

He concluded: "This came from this page where there is more," before sharing a link to the UKHSA guidance.
