Drivers on the M1 faced long delays on Friday morning following a crash on the motorway. Two lanes out of four were closed on the M1 northbound between J23 and J24, Leicestershire Police said.

Motorists have been urged to allow extra time for their journey, with Traffic England expecting the situation to clear not before 10.30 - 10.45am.
