Narinder Kaur hit out at Princess Kate for her outfit as she arrived in Leicester to celebrate the Indian community in the city. The Princess of Wales' appearance in the city came as the Indian community were celebrating Holi, a festival that celebrates colours, love and spring. Catherine sported an all-cream ensemble, exuding elegance as she walked down the city's famous Golden Mile.

She boasted a long garland of red roses during the visit, which also included her first trip to a Hindu temple in Britain, where she joined in traditional dancing. Narinder, a former panelist on Good Morning Britain, took aim at Catherine's choice of outfit, adding to a series of remarks she has previously made about the royal. She wrote: "Kate - Princess of Wales was in Leicester today as she joined the community in traditional dancing at the Shreeji Dham Haveli Hindu Temple.

"I think it would have been nice if she'd worn a nice Indian suit."

The comments immediately sparked a fierce debate, with several claiming Catherine would have been accused of "cultural appropriation" if she had worn an Indian-style suit.

One wrote: "You'd have accused her of cultural appropriation literally can't win, so why bother trying I guess, you'd be offended either way!"

When another social media user argued the same, Narinder hit back: "No I wouldn't?! Lol When?? I've argued against this cultural appropriation argument in the past..."

Another wrote: "Must have hurt you that our Indian community gave her such a warm welcome to the appropriately dressed Princess of Wales."

Someone else fumed: "She wore what she was comfortable in. Just like anyone should. Her attire was not important, her presence was. You are always wittering on about something negative for attention."

A fifth added: "Why? She is the future queen and does not have to bow to people expecting that. Leave her alone!!"

One agreed with Narinder, remarking: "Also .. she could’ve chose a better colour .. we usually wear bright colours!"

The Jeremy Vine star agreed: "Especially for Holi!!"

Catherine watched in awe as Bollywood dancers performed a routine to loud, upbeat music at a community centre, admitting her three children, George, 12, Charlotte, 10, and Louis, seven, would have enjoyed the dance.

"You must be super fit because it’s super energetic," the mum-of-three said afterwards. "My children would love that, they love their dancing. Louis would love your dance routine."
