Benidorm creator Derren Litten says he has been forced to sell his incredible Alicante villa – the home in which he penned the hit ITV comedy series – as fans rushed to support him. Derren included an estate agency listing for the four-bedroom property located in Costa Blanca, boasting a stunning outdoor pool and tropical gardens.

The Mediterranean villa is described as boasting a “covered terrace, a summer terrace with shade, and a summer kitchen with barbecue and bar”. It includes three bathrooms, an office space and a “spacious” living room, plus a private dining area. There are five golf courses located within 10 minutes of the property, and the beach is just a 10 minute walk away.

Derren announced the sad news via X, tweeting: “Would you like to buy the house where I wrote the Benidorm TV series? I love this house but thanks to a shameless, career gold digger I have to sell. As the Spanish say, no pasa nada!”

He didn’t name who the allegations were referring to, but was soon swarmed with support from friends and fans. John Challis’ widow Carol posted a series of kisses in response, while someone else said: “Oh Derren I’m so sorry to read this. Sending hugs x.”
