Andrew Mountbatten Windsor spent 11 hours in custody on Thursday after police arrested the former prince on suspicion of misconduct in public office. The ex-Duke of York was released but remains under investigation. While the former royal is yet to comment on his arrest, his ex-wife's plans before the Jeffrey Epstein scandal made headlines have since come to light.

Royal commentator Kinsey Schofield has addressed recent US reports after Fergie's bombshell move before Andrew's arrest has been exposed. Speaking on Talk TV's Jeremy Kyle Breakfast Show, the podcast host revealed Beatrice and Eugenie's mum had plans to "break into Hollywood".

Jeremy remarked: "There was another story overnight... Sarah Ferguson was apparently trying to break into Hollywood weeks before Andrew was arrested.

Kinsey replied: "She was pitching her regal bodice ripper. Her Heart For A Compass." The royal commentator was making reference to the Duchess of York's historical novel which was released five years ago.

"It's Bridgerton meets The Crown for a TV or film project," the royal commentator explained.

She contined: "Sources say she had the book rewritten, repitched and was actively leaning on industry contacts.

This is all as the DOJ [US Department of Justice] documents started to dump and she's devastated because she thinks she is this close [Kinsey holds up thumb and index finger] to getting this show made."

Kinsey concluded: "In Hollywood you can rewrite the script, unfortunately, for the York's you can not rewrite the headlines."

She then quipped: "What would we call it? Fifty Shades of Fergie or maybe Fifty Shades of Earl Grey, because in this version the tea keeps spilling whether anyone ordered it or not."

The former Duchess of York’s debut romance novel, Her Heart For A Compass, is for adults and was released in 2021.

It details the life of Lady Margaret Montagu Scott, a fictionalised ancestor and focuses on her rebellion against Victorian societal, marriage, and gender constraints, following her journey from London to Ireland and New York.

Elsewhere, it was claimed over the weekend that Fergie is now hiding out in the UK following Andrew's arrest in a bid to maintain a low-profile.
