Prince William and Princess Kate may be able to fly in style, but it does come with some restrictions. The royals are often heading to various different countries, but one place you won't see them flying is first class, according to Love Island's Helena Ford. Helena, who is currently on this season of the ITV2 dating show, worked as a flight attendant before she went in the villa and on Saturday night's Unseen Bits, she was seen telling her co-stars of the famous people she's seen on flights.

She was asked by her co-stars what famous people had she met during her time as a flight attendant, and among the many names Helena listed off, she said "Will and Kate", prompting the girls to check that she meant the royals, while Helena nodded and said they were "really nice". She was questioned on why they didn't fly on a private jet, prompting Helena to give some insight into their rules.

She told her co-stars: "They can't fly in the highest cabin, so if there's a First they have to sit in Business, if there's no First they have to sit in Traveller Plus. But there was a First, so they sat in Business. But the whole of Business Class was their security.

"There was no one else in there, they had fake names and stuff." Helena was asked why they couldn't sit in the highest cabin and she started to explain that because of government funding they can't, and while she was struggling to find the words, co-star Samie Elishi chimed in to say "they can't take the p*** basically?"

Helena nodded and then explained that she's also had former Prime Minister Boris Johnson in Traveller Plus on a flight.

While William and Kate have been known to fly privately, their decision on how they're flying is largely related to the nature of their visits, with official royal duties often being via a jet. However, private travel or select official visits, they have been known to fly commercially.

Helena previously worked for British Airways, with William and Kate notably using the company to fly previously, including a 2022 BA flight to Boston for the Earthshot Prize. Other cabin crew have previously spoken about seeing them on flight before and according to CBS Boston, previously described them as "utterly delightful" as they attended for the ceremony.
